The standard 42x16" wall sleeve makes Dynaline 3 the right choice for new construction or direct replacement for other brands such as Island Aire. Gas (Natural or LP) connections can be inside or outside the room. Suburban Dynaline3 Gas-Fired PTAC Each unit is individually controlled so comfort levels can be set for each room or zone. The top-mounted controls provide for High and Low speeds in both heating and cooling modes, plus a fan only mode.
The Dynaline 3 can be controlled from the unit or from a wall thermostat. If you've been on Islandaire's website recently you may have noticed a "side by side" comparison of their EZ GS against Suburban's Dynaline. Unfortunately, their comparison is not a fair one and includes several blatant errors and mistakes. So let's set the record straight about the Suburban Dynaline:
Heat Exchanger: Tubular, aluminized steel. In the 14 years of DL3 Series production, Suburban Hvac Parts has never had to replace a heat exchanger, not one time.
CO Detector: The Dynaline is available with a built-in CO Detector. As an onboard CO Detector is not required nationwide, we give our customers the option of including this or not.
Construction: There is no true definition of "commercial grade" for PTAC unit construction. But according to various other manufacturer's claims, our 18 and 20 gauge sheet metal would be considered "commercial grade".
Controls: Our 1 control board runs both the heat and cooling cycles. This allows end users who stock parts to spend less on their inventories and allows for easy self-diagnosis of unit issues.
Combustion Operation: Our negative draw-through combustion is the SAFEST design available. The systems allows for NO penetration of exhaust gases back into the room, as no room air is used for combustion. The Dynaline is also wind rated and has been installed in high-rises around the country for decades.
Front Panel: Our front panel includes rounded corners and is shallower than Islandaire's EZ GS, allowing for less protrusion into the room.
Wall Sleeve: Our wall sleeves are available fully assembled AND in a fold out version. Not forcing our end users to take fully assembled wall sleeves saves them dramatically on shipping costs and makes for far easier storage at the jobsite.
Indoor Fans: Our tangential fan has been providing excellent air flow through our available duct kits for almost 15 years.
Condensor Fan: Our design eliminated a slinger wheel by recessing our condenser coil. This eliminates the need for another moving part that creates noise, the slinger wheel, in the unit.
Combustion Intake: Located above the draining weep holes on the rear of the unit, water would need to run uphill and against the required ¼" slope of the units' pan.

To continue the Suburban tradition of providing year-round comfort in a fully self-contained heating and cooling system, Suburban offers DynaPack. This vertical packaged air conditioner features electric cooling comfort along with high-efficiency gas heat.
The DynaPack range of products features from 1 to 2.5 tons cooling and efficient 36 to 60 MBTU gas heat. DynaPack
DynaPack's direct vent design has a built-in condensing unit which offers additional cost savings for new construction design.
Each DynaPack unit can be ducted for multiple room conditioning making it ideal for multi-family applications.
Five cooling capacities are available each with multiple rated heating input, all utilizing R410A Refrigerant.
The Dynapack S Series has a heating efficiency of 80% thermal efficiency.
The Dynapack H Series has a heating efficiency of 91-92% thermal efficiency, depending on specific model.
All cooling efficiencies for both the S and H Series range from 10.0 to 10.7 EER. And, all Dynapack units are tested and rated to AHRI Standard 390 and are classified as “Single Packaged Vertical Unit”.
CAUTION: This furnace is equipped with a direct ignition control.
Do not attempt to manually light the burners.
BEFORE OPERATING, smell all around the appliance area for gas. Be sure to smell next to the floor because gas is heavier than air and will settle on the floor. If you smell gas STOP. Open the windows and doors to clear out any gas. Recheck all gas piping and connections for leaks.
Make sure the gas valve is switched ON. Remove the gas compartment door. Turn the gas valve knob or move the switch to the ON position. Do not use any tools to turn the knob. If you are unable to push in and turn the knob by hand then call a qualified service technician for assistance. Replace the gas compartment door.
Turn on electrical power to the unit.
Switch the room thermostat to heat.
Raise the set point to above the room temperature.
The thermostat will call for heat and the combustion blower will begin to operate.
The combustion blower will operate for 15 to 20 seconds before the ignition controls begin sparking, then the gas valve will open and the burners will light. The burners can be viewed through the sight glass in the door panel.
The room air blower starts 30 seconds after the burners light.
Once the room reaches the set temperature, the burners turn off and the room air blower turns off 90 seconds later.
Switch the room thermostat over to cooling.
Lower the set point to below the room temperature.
After a slight delay the room air blower will begin to run and the compressor will start. NOTE: There will be a 5 minute delay in the compressor starting if the thermostat set point was raised and then lowered again.
Once the room reaches the set temperature, the compressor will turn off and the room air blower will turn off 30 seconds later.
